Eddie Pyle homered with two outs in the bottom of the seventh to tie the game and the Statesmen survive a 1 1/2 hour rain/lightning delay to defeat Middlesex by the score of 3-2. Rob Clowdis ended the game with a bases loaded single in the bottom of the ninth inning. Justin Ferrel was the winning pitcher in relief of starter Keith Yancey. The Statesmen advance to the Final Four in Radford on Friday! |
