Patriot Fr Leah Patterson outdueled Major Sr. Kirsten Rowell and drove in the only run to lead Yorktown to the National District Championship, its first softball championship. Patterson's one-out single drove in Sr. Anna Goldman, who had doubled to open the bottom of the 2nd. Rowell allowed only 4 YHS hits but Patterson was a little better, holding the Majors to 2 hits, striking out 12 and walking 0. |
