Salem jumped out to an early 3-0 lead with the leg of kicker Nic Schmitt, who connected on a 41 yard field goal with 3:24 left in the 1st quarter.

Park View then returned the favor as their kicker Brandon Develli booted a 32 yard field goal of his own to tie the score at 3.

After a good defensive stand Park View got the ball back and put up another quick six on an option play that went 60 yards by William Chester. The PAT was good and Park View went in with a 10-3 half-time lead.

It looked like Park View had the momentum but it was quickly reversed as they fumbled on their own 21 yard line. Salem's field goal attempt was blocked by Price Lee and recovered by Brian Fong.

Salem regained possession and was able to work down the field to score on a short run by FB Manuel Lewis to tie the score at 10-10.

With the score tied and Park View deep in their own territory the Salem defense forced a fumble that was returned for a touchdown by defensive lineman Alan Crowder.

Park View was unable to muster another offensive attack and gave up the ball on downs. Salem ran out the clock to once again become Division 4 State Championsh.
