Capital All-Stars end game on 21-5 run

With 5:36 remaining in the fourth quarter the Capital All-Stars trailed the U.S. All-Stars 96-91. But Coach Dan Harwood found the right combination down the stretch. Tamir Goodman running the show, the big man Michael Sweetney in the middle, Bernard Robinson, Deon Saunders, and David Hawkins running the floor. The new line-up led to a 12-0 run which put the Capital team up for good. Capital extended the lead in the final minutes to win by a score of 112-101. Goodman (8 assists) and Robinson (15 points and 9 boards) shared the MVP honors in the victory. David Hawkins scored 17 points, Deon Saunders had 16 points including a couple monster jams, and Georgetown bound Sweetney worked for 15 points and 11 boards. Sweetney's big jam off a nice pass from Robinson finished the U.S. All-Stars off with under 2 minutes left. Kyle Cuffe scored 20 and yanked down 8 boards for the U.S. All-Stars in a losing effort.
